The Ghibli S seems very lethargic off the start. I have a '14 Q4 with sport package. I've used a mobile App before for my other cars to measure and quarter mile times with pretty accurate results. I haven't been able to get a time below 6 seconds with my Ghibli S. I've tried launching off 3k RPM with not much better results.

It seems the turbos lag quite a bit before kicking in. Just wondering how Motor Trend got results of 4. If you're launching at 3k rpm there shouldn't be any lag since the second you remove your foot from the pedal the car jumps.

The launch is touchy though since the car has stall speed protection build into it to prevent tranny from over heating. They won't go higher until the car cools down either. Additionally and most importantly, you need to turn off traction control via the button on the gear shifter. If you have traction control enabled your car won't deliver full power.

If you brake boost, the car should jump the second you release your foot from brake pedal. I'm assuming you have brake pedal pushed all the way down, and at the same time the gas pedal should be "floored" Once you hit 3k rpm release foot from brake and go.. If you are just stopped, without doing any brake boosting and simply floor the gas pedal from a stopped position, you will most likely experience a 1 to 1.

It's like granny mode for 1. The only way to avoid this is brake boosting. It really depends on what your goal is and what purpose you need a quicker response for. If it's daily driving then I would stick to brake boosting. If you plan to track car then the use of DBW and tuning make more sense. Bloodstar57's Garage Maserati SQ4.
