  • Honda CR-V vs Nissan Rogue Compare price, expert/user reviews, mpg, engines, safety, cargo capacity and other specs at a glance.

The Honda CR-V remains a favorite for a number of reasons. It's priced right, offers a roomy interior and cargo area, sips gas and earns.

Honda is a young Japanese auto-building company, it was founded in 1948. Now the concern, besides cars, also builds motorcycles, planes and is engaged in robotics. Many experts consider Honda cars to be one of the most reliable.

The Honda CR-V was all-new for The Rogue offers unique features, like a degree surround-view camera. Both vehicles are named IIHS Top Safety.

If you are in the Lee's Summit MO area and are considering the Nissan Rogue, you can follow this link to our inventory. The Honda CR-V puts this point into brilliant focus. The Nissan Rogue is plenty capable, but suffers from a whiny powertrain, body roll, and lack of visibility. Its comfort and convenience features are super helpful for day-to-day driving. You be the judge.

If you're reading this compact crossover SUV comparison test, you've accepted the sad reality of life in the 21st century. Or at least you live that sad reality, every day, on clogged freeways and in long lines of stopped traffic.

Watch some bozo cut you off. Fact is, our overcrowded suburbs and business hubs have taken much of the joy out of daily driving. After all, these small SUVs do one big thing exceedingly well: So here they are: As for the Nissan Rogue, well, it sells like lemonade on Memorial Day. Which of the two deserves to sell better than the other? If sales were a measure of popularity, the Rogue would be King of the World.

Sadly, here it comes in second place. But even still, losing to the Honda CR-V by a few lousy points is hardly a thumping. It offers plenty of tech, gear and features, though, and my test vehicle was no plain-Jane Rogue. It makes horsepower and lb.

With the optional all-wheel-drive system, the Rogue is EPA-rated to deliver 27 mpg in combined driving. With SL trim, standard equipment includes a stack of safety features, such as automatic emergency braking, blind spot warning, lane departure warning, and more.

Remote engine start is also standard, as is a Divide-N-Hide cargo system. Is someone going to tell you how amazing your new Rogue looks? Will your co-workers say things like: They might make you drive to lunch, though. So drink it in, big spender, soak up the glory. But while you do, realize that the Rogue is pleasant and attractive. And know that this has been the basic design of your average crossover since, well, EVER. They keep things simple here, and for the most part, fluid.

The haunches are smooth and shapely, and everything comes together nicely. I liked the V-shaped grille and how it works itself into the LED-accented headlights, the chrome trim, and the taut rear tailgate with LED taillights. The grille, by the way, along with the front-end of the vehicle, looks like all other Nissans.

To my eye that style fits this vehicle. The inch alloy wheels are also a nice addition because they make the Rogue look more, ahem, Rogueish.

The goal is to maximize comfort and reduce fatigue. I have a simple way to judge this, you see: Especially when dressed in quilted leather, they look expensive, they feel expensive, and they serve both the driver and front passenger well, with firm side bolsters and supportive seat padding. The front seats also offer heat as an option — an almost mandatory gotta-have-it, depending on where you live. I do wish Nissan would also offer ventilated seats, especially for hot, muggy, sweltering summer days.

Overall comfort levels are high for the back seat, as well. I found this supposed penalty box not much of a penalty, thanks to plenty of shoulder and leg room, and a door opening that made climbing in and out quite easy.
