    It includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning with lane keeping assist, and something the company calls 'road departure mitigation' that is design to prevent unintended departure from the pavement.

    Higher trims add a blind spot monitoring system with rear cross-traffic alert. Not having to pay extra in order to play in the safety department is a big plus for the Honda Accord, a benefit largely unmatched by every other mid-size sedan at its price point.
